RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

1). January 2011-December 2013. Led the Bangladesh government and University Grants Commission, Bangladesh (UGC), funded Sub-Project, titled, Improving the Capabilities of research in Political Science and Asian Studies in the Department of Political Science, University of Chittagong as the Sub-Project Manager (SPM).

2). July 2012-2013: Working to complete a survey-based research project, titled, Islamic Political Forces in Bangladesh: Domestic and Global Context.

3). 2012-2013: Completed a survey-based study, titled, Bangladesh and Its Borders: A Study of Cross-Border Issues of South-Western Borders of Bangladesh, funded by the University Grants Commission, Bangladesh.

4). 2006-2007: Worked as a special consultant of a major survey-based United States Institute of Peace (USIP) -- funded research project, titled, Peace-building in Bangladesh’s CHT, for two years during 2006-2007. My responsibilities included managing all aspects of the project in Bangladesh since the project Director, Professor Dr. M. Rashiduzzaman, was teaching in the United States for most part of these two years.

5). 1989-1995: Worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) at the Department of Political Science, University of Arizona, USA.

6).  1995: Worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Helen Ingram of the Udall Center for Public Policy, University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, USA.

7). 1982-1983: Worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Talukder Maniruzzaman, Uniersity of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

8).  1982-1983: Worked as a Research Associate for Professor U.A.B Razia Akter Banu of the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, on the Asia Foundation, Dhaka, funded survey-based research project, Organizational Adaptation of Islam in Bangladesh.

9.  1981-1982: Prepared a survey-based Monograph, titled, Organizational Viability of Gram Sarkar.
