RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
1). January 2011-December 2013. Led the Bangladesh
government and University Grants Commission, Bangladesh (UGC), funded
Sub-Project, titled, Improving the Capabilities of research in Political Science
and Asian Studies in the Department of Political Science, University of
Chittagong as the Sub-Project
Manager (SPM).
2). July 2012-2013: Working to complete a survey-based research
project, titled, Islamic Political Forces in Bangladesh: Domestic and Global
Context.
3). 2012-2013: Completed
a survey-based study, titled, Bangladesh and Its Borders: A Study of Cross-Border Issues of South-Western Borders of Bangladesh,
funded by the University Grants Commission, Bangladesh.
4). 2006-2007: Worked as a special consultant of a major
survey-based United States Institute of Peace (USIP) -- funded research
project, titled, Peace-building in Bangladesh’s CHT, for two years
during 2006-2007. My responsibilities included managing all aspects of the
project in Bangladesh since the project Director, Professor Dr. M.
Rashiduzzaman, was teaching in the
5). 1989-1995: Worked as a Graduate Teaching
Assistant (GTA) at the
Department of Political Science, University of Arizona, USA.
6). 1995: Worked as a Research Assistant
for Professor Helen Ingram of the Udall Center for Public Policy,
University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, USA.
7). 1982-1983: Worked as a Research Assistant for Professor
Talukder Maniruzzaman, Uniersity of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
8). 1982-1983: Worked as a Research
Associate for Professor U.A.B Razia Akter Banu of the University of Dhaka,
Bangladesh, on the Asia Foundation, Dhaka, funded survey-based research
project, Organizational Adaptation of
Islam in Bangladesh.
9. 1981-1982: Prepared a survey-based Monograph, titled, Organizational Viability of Gram Sarkar.
